Aerospace/Defense Applications
Petroferm supplies the aerospace industry with specialty cleaning agents approved for use in the manufacture and maintenance of commercial, general aviation, military and space aircraft. Their environmentally-responsible cleaning agents have been used to remove a wide range of soils from aircraft components and assemblies including: actuation systems, airframes, engines, and landing gear.

Asphalt Applications
Petroferm Asphalt Extractants and Cleaners are an ideal biodegradable alternative to replace chlorinated solvents such as trichloroethylene (TCE) and 1,1,1 trichloroethane traditionally used to perform quality control tests. Their asphalt extractants have been designed to be used with vacuum and centrifuge equipment for test procedures approved by State DOT agencies. These products can also be used to dissolve and remove asphalt from lab equipment, tools, and heavy equipment.

Electronic Applications
Petroferm offers over 20 specialty cleaning agents for electronic assembly and semiconductor packaging applications. Their chemistries are designed for use in standard inline and batch defluxing systems, stencil and misprint cleaners and vapor degreasers. They also provide a complete line of manual, non-aqueous products which are ideal replacements for isopropyl alcohol (IPA).

Medical Device Applications
Petroferm offers a diverse portfolio of cleaning technologies and surface treatments developed to meet the performance, compatibility and environmental requirements of the medical device market. Their products have been used to remove contaminants in critical cleaning operations in many applications including cardiovascular devices, diagnostic equipment, silicone deposition, surgical tools and instruments. These cleaning operations involve a broad range of substrates such as, ceramics, cobalt-chrome, nitinol, stainless steel, and titanium.

Precision Metal
Providing products which meet the increasing demands of today's manufacturing operations, Petroferm Cleaning Products are used in many precision metal applications. These applications include: adhesive removal, brightening, corrosion inhibition, debinding, degreasing, descaling, etching, rapid prototype/model making, and wax removal.
