Hisco donates to various charities in 2008

HOUSTON, November 1, 2008 – Hisco made a collective donation of $130,000 to various non-profit organizations and charities assisting those in need. Each of the 26 Hisco branches selected a local charity with their community. We are very grateful that are able to give back to the community.

In 2007, the Houston branch selected Operation Homefront as their charity. The money was used to assist a family in direr need. The father was wounded in a bomb blast and in the same year a car accident took the lives of 3 of their 4 children. The family is now working through the emotional impact, however they have received assistance from many people and organizations to get them back on their feet.
