Hisco was founded in the 1940's as Houston Industrial Supply Company. The original company changed hands numerous times until 1970, when Paul Merriman purchased the business for the sum of $1.00. In 1971, the company that we know today was incorporated as HISCO.

Today, the international Hisco branch network includes 25 stocking locations - 19 in the United States and 6 operated by our HiscoMex subsidiary in Mexico - plus 4 Precision Converting facilities that provide value-added fabrication and custom repackaging. Hisco is a specialty distribution company serving the electronic assembly and other industrial markets whose mission is to deliver value to customers through quality products, process solutions and local inventory. In addition, we offer specialized warehousing for chemical management, cold storage and logistic services.

Backed by a strong corporate organization, our branches enjoy the flexibility of local decision-making, which enables them to respond rapidly and innovatively to your needs. Our Lean Solutions Team is constantly working to define and implement ways to help our customers improve processes.
